Asia with its huge population is considered the World’s most populous and largest continent. With the total population of over 4 billion people, Asia is one of the most diverse continents on the Earth. Asia is surrounded by the Arctic Ocean on the North, the Pacific on the East, and the Indian Ocean on the South. It inherits 8.6% of the Earth’s total surface. 

Asia is divided into 06 main territories and regions. They are; Easter Asia, Central Asia, Southern Asia, Southeastern Asia, Western Asia, and Northern Asia. Many Asian territories consist of countries with diverse cultures and traditions, and religions. Defining the general characteristics of the continent is not easy.  Life is each country is different from the others.

Asian countries are much easier to categorize based on economic standards. The continent is third largest in terms of Gross Domestic Product when compared with the other continents. Countries such as China, Japan, and South Korea are among the World’s biggest economies.
