Bing is one of the fastest growing Search Engine in the world. I personally like its new look and the relevancy of search results.  Starting this week, searchers on Yahoo will start to see a little “Powered by Bing” message at the bottom of the results page, as the two companies start the public phase of their huge search deal completed last year.

This is a great move in the part of Bing. However, there is a bad news for publishers who had been using Yahoo’s Search Monkey galleries and applications for highlighting search results will have to figure out a new strategy, as the product is going away.

There are thousands of Search Engines online providing much useful data for its users. While all search engines have common goals of providing us with relevant search results, the methods applied by the Search Engines in providing the data is not always the same. Based upon my own research and Experience in the field, I have highlighted below the most recommended Search Engines around today.

  1. Google.com – This is an obvious choice. Google has one of the largest database of web pages and other documents and the most frequently used Search Engine online today.
  2. Bing.com – Pretty new and hugely popular. The concept looks appealing to many users and the search results are pretty relevant.
  3. Yahoo.com – Although one of the oldest Search Engines online, it has struggled to compete with its bigger competitors mentioned above. Yahoo News is also very popular amongst the financial community.
  4. Ask.com – Although relatively less market value compared with the above, ask.com is still one of the most visited search engine.

The list could go on and on and on…. My choices are based on my years of experience using various search engine features, search results, etc.

It is interesting to know that Yahoo has just announced its integration with one of the most popular social networking site Facebook. It allows Yahoo services to stream Facebook updates directly. People with personalized Yahoo pages can incorporate Facebook information for their viewing pleasure. Once set up, Facebook status updates, pics, and other related info can be viewed directly from Yahoo personalized pages, which would mean that users would not need to leave the site.

Yahoo said it is making privacy settings easier to use with a central dashboard called Yahoo Pulse, but a link to the new dashboard could not be accessed as of the time of this writing.

Since its launch a few days ago, iPad has been the most talked gadget currently. While it is beautifully designed and contains many useful features, I feel some key features are missing.

  • Camera – Omission of a camera in my opinion is a huge mistake. The iPad would be perfect for snapping and sharing photos with others, and for videoconferencing with friends and family.
  • Universal Mail Inbox - People with several email accounts would find a little frustrated by the lack of unified inbox. To view e-mails from another account, you have to back out of the inbox you’re viewing, then go to the other account’s inbox.
  • You can’t open a bunch of windows spread across the screen. You can’t  save files locally. The “Office” suite is lackluster for multi-document use. There’s no DVD drive.
  • Email Attachments Are Trapped in Your Mailbox – You can’t view any mail attachments outside the iPhone’s e-mail app. The same holds true for the iPad.
  • Built-in USB – lack of USB port is is another factor
  • Blown-up iPhone Apps Aren’t Anti-aliased – As you may already know, the iPad can run all existing iPhone apps; you can run them at their iPhone-size in the center of your screen, or blown up to fill the screen. Unfortunately, Apple does nothing to smooth out the apps, so text and images look chunky.

We all know beginning of April every year is a funny day with thousands of April Fools jokes online. One of the jokes I have noticed this year is from internet giant Google.

April Fools’ morning, Google announced it was changing its name…to Topeka. Google Topeka April Fool 2010 logo

The gag comes one month after the real Topeka decided to temporarily change its name to Google. Topeka’s mayor signed a proclamation to help convince Google his city was the best place for its soon-to-be-launched broadband network.

Today, Google fired back, replacing its standard home page logo with the word “Topeka.” A photo showed the Google headquarters with a freshly updated sign. And a placard was even provided to help you learn the proper way to use the new name in conversation.

Internet marketing has become one of the largest markets to take up shop in.  This is due in part to millions of people realizing that billboards, magazines, and newspapers are all dying because of the acceptance of the Internet on a global scale.  Search engine optimization (SEO) and article marketing are two primary ways to market over the Web, but now we see a new baby being born that combines the two and is starting to be known as “Search Engine Optimization Articles.”

Utilizing these two methods will start with an idea of how you want to inform the reader and about what.  Once you have the content written you will need to do a few things to it to make it optimized with the search engines on the Web.

Here are some key elements to this process as you go along:

The first step is to carefully choose relative keywords.  This can be done by simply deciphering what people will be searching for in regards to your product or services.  Also, utilize the subcategory option so you can add more keywords with headers and titles.  If you select the appropriate keywords they will flow with the content you have written and very little editing will be needed.  This is the first step in getting your search engine optimized articles in place.

Using anchor text is a great option to take advantage of as well.  Anchor text will give you the ability to use keywords as links to your site within the article itself.  This strategy allows you to use the maximum potential keywords that are being used in the content.  Make a list of various keywords and multiple variations in order to find the best possible choice for your needs.

Search engine optimization articles will not do the work themselves.  They need to be full of informative content that engages the reader and leaves them wanting to know more.  This process has been perfected over the last decade and gives the Web master more precise control over the future of their online business.  Maximizing the potential of the tools that are available, such as search engine optimized articles, will only ensure the success of your online profits and overall online production.

With the endless options available and more strategies being implemented, the sky is the limit in terms of marketing yourself on the Web.  Educating yourself with the functions of a professional Web content writer will only increase your chances of being successful with not only the search engines, but online surfers as well.
