Almost all of us have laptops at home. We use them in our daily life specifically for business and studies. The desktops have now been replaced by laptops, as they allow quick functioning for work. On the other hand most of us, who have become so much addicted to laptops, do not know how to handle them carefully. Laptops have excellent functions but they are very sensitive. No matter how expensive and durable your laptop is, you definitely have to protect it from the physical damage. Here are some tips that will help you to handle your laptops in the best possible way.
Use laptop bags for protection
Since laptops have become so common nowadays, one can easily find a variety of laptop bags. You might have seen guys carrying laptops in handy bags. These bags have two small handles and one big strap. You can either hold them in your hand or can hang on your shoulders. These bags have separate portions for laptop chargers and for other accessories. You can keep your USB, mouse and other stuff in the small pockets and the laptop charger in one big pocket. You can even buy the bags that have the label of the manufacturer of your laptop.
Choose colorful covers
For young girls and guys, several colorful laptop covers are available in the market. These covers are like a thin pillow and made from a very soft material. You can either buy green, blue or pink, as you like. These covers have foam in them, which protects the laptops from scratches and any physical damage. You can simply carry your laptop like a register in this way, instead of carrying in a bag.
Never put laptops on the corner of your tables and desks
We normally put laptops on tables and desks but we should avoid putting them on the corner. A single push and move will make laptop fell from the table or desk. Make sure that you place your laptop on the centre of your table, desk or bed. Try to lay a mat on the table. The direct contact of your laptop and table will put scratches and marks on the body of the laptop.
Keep laptops away from the reach of your kids
Kids do not know how to handle and hold stuff like laptops. They might not understand how careful the handling is. Try to keep laptops away from the reach of your kids so as to avoid any physical damage.
Specify a place for your laptop
Try to specify a place for your laptop. In this way you will get habitual of using your laptop at its specific place. In this way you will not use it here and there.
Use a thin cloth for cleaning your laptop screen and body
Laptop has a very sensitive screen and body. Use a thin cloth or a tissue paper to clean the screen, instead of using your finger. Never use your nails to remove any particle from your laptop.

Yea, I dropped mine a few times, definitely in need of a cover!
Nice list of what to do and not to do.
As I have four kids and two lap tops, I better pay attention.
My little net-book travels in my purse and has a spot on my desk when not in use!
My kids get my old, cast-offs. Then they can do with it what they want…to a point, of course.
Nice ideas, Crystal.
Great tips! I must admit I take my laptop everywhere in my home, from the kitchen to the playroom.I often leave it on the coach and I know it’s not a good place for it! Laptop are awesome and so easy to access but you are right about taking extra measure to make sure we protect them from damage!
I take extremely good care of my laptops. From what I have heard, it is carelessness that leads to physical damages most of the time.
