We all know that search engine optimization is a great way to get high ranking in search engines which will lead to more vistors to your site. But, the question is what is search engine optimization? In simple search engine optimization is a process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” search results. There are many factors which contribute to the high ranking in search engine results.

The process of SEO involves a site’s coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. All these are absolutely necessary steps and should be done in accordance with how search algorithms work. The approach to SEO is also very important. Some experts  favor more aggressive approach to SEO while others prefer holistic approach.

I personally view good search engine rankings as the end product of developing a Web site with good content. Many search engine optimizers consider optimization as part of the main marketing strategy which I too find agreeable.
